The web site / column hybrid, or modern blog, is one of the purest forms of free speech. Instant communication and instant connection with a digital world serves to keep us informed and supports our freedom.
When people can openly speak their minds and hearts, it is much more difficult for those with personal agendas to co-opt the public discourse for their own purposes. An uninformed people can be easily led, and more easily misled.
In this era of information overload, blogs can be part of the solution rather than the systemic problem. I hope you will find high quality content on Mr. Burns’ blogs., at least slightly better than would be produced by primates banging on old office equipment.
