You have the ideas, but you need a Messenger.
You have the ideas, and you know that your experiences will make a great
book. So how do you bring those ideas to market? InkWell author Tim
Burns is
experienced in taking your project concept from the starting outlines, and
carrying the project through to a finished work. He will work
with you, conduct background interviews, and co-write your project to fill the book with
content, clarity, and your literary 'voice.'
The collaborative agreement is a four step process, and InkWell puts you in
control of each step. The work proceeds from one stage to the next when you are
satisfied that the work is headed in the direction you envisioned, and your
expectations are fulfilled. Each collaborative work is outlined with a written
agreement ensuring that everyone involved has a clear understanding of the
process, what can be expected, and what each party is responsible to provide.
The Four Step Collaborative Process
 | Step 1: InkWell's collaborative professional will spend up
to 4 hours to determine your project's boundaries and potential. This
session normally carries a fee of $250.00, but is complimentary to a new
client. You will not be asked to make a financial commitment until all
parties involved are convinced of the marketability of your
project. The purpose of this creative session is to
 | clarify your project |
 | condense the material |
 | determine the market for your ideas. |
|
 | Step 2: After determining / agreeing to the details of the
project, and signing a working agreement, step two consists of writing a
complete outline of your project, and the book proposal, which includes the rough draft of
the first two chapters. This step creates the
materials needed to secure a publisher |
 | Step 3: Delivery of the book proposal, and the commitment
of InkWell to work with you to find a publisher. A book can be
rejected by numerous prospective publishing houses before a contract if
offered. InkWell will work with you, making face to face contacts with
pubishers and giving you access to a network of publishing industry
personnel until your book finds a home. During this time, the
remainder of the project is developed in rough draft form. |
 | Step 4: Once an offer is received from a publisher, the
final draft of all materials is completed, and submitted. At this
point the publisher is in the position to make an contract offer.
|
As you can see, the publishing process is a maze of contacts, follow through,
and waiting. With InkWell's assistance, you can get your book to
market.
